The Newman Animal Shelter is dedicated to providing animals a comfortable place to stay.
In addition to extending the time animals can stay, the shelter has made a series of improvements to the facility in effort to make the experience staying their more enjoyable for animals.
Concrete and a section of artificial grass have been added as well, replacing the gravel surface which once passed as the play area.
“With a grassy area for them to play on as opposed to gravel they can feel a little more at home,” said Fragoza, adding that dogs have play time on a daily basis.
