Want to up your recycling game?
Recycling material around the garden can go a long way in supporting the environment and creating a sustainable home. The more we recycle, the less we contribute to the dreaded landfills.
We’ve made this a priority here at Artificial Grass Recyclers, and prevented over 5 billion square feet of sports turf from being deposited in landfills.
But how can you recycle around the garden?
We found a great blog with a bunch of ideas, including recycling toilet paper rolls for the garden, creating a compost pile, and creatively re-purposing old milk cartons. The more creative you think about it, the more possibilities you will discover.
I have my husband save all the cartons he uses throughout the year. Once emptied, I cut them in half, rinse them out, and poke holes in the bottom corners. They go into the basement until needed in the early spring. I love these cartons because they’re sturdy enough to last until the seedlings go into the ground, and they can be easily labeled with the name of the plant.
Take a look and let us know what you think.
