Glendale is the latest city to allow homeowners to replace their natural landscaping with artificial surface solutions. This provides homeowners an easy way to save water, which can mean dramatic savings during the ongoing drought and water crisis.
Commissioners voted 4-1 to allow up to 50% of front lawns be made up of artificial turf, while the other half must have live-plant material.
